Registration opens: September 14, 2016

Online registration closes: November 10, 2016

Please follow the instructions carefully.

  • After filling out the registration form you will be directed to authorize.net in order to pay the conference registration fee. You must submit the completed registration form in addition to the authorize.net form. The LOC will scowl menacingly if you submit one form and not the other.
  • Abstracts may be submitted at a later date to lowfrequencies3@gmail.com, but no later than November 10.
  • If circumstances require that you pay upon arrival at the conference please contact us at lowfrequencies3@gmail.com. In-person registration will also be possible if space is available, but we encourage you to contact us ahead of time if this is necessary for you.
  • Questions and inquiries should also be directed towards lowfrequencies3@gmail.com.

Conference Excursion

There will be an organized trip to the California Science Center on Saturday, Dec 10. The trip will feature a 3D IMAX movie, “Journey to Space” (click to watch the trailer), and a chance to see the space shuttle Endeavour (click to learn more about the exhibit). The Endeavour was the fifth and final space shuttle to join the fleet. Built in 1992 and retired in 2011, the Endeavour flew 25 missions while orbiting the Earth 4,671 times.

Should you wish to join the trip, please select the “Registration + Science center trip” option while registering for the conference. The fee includes transportation from and back to Caltech, tickets to the IMAX movie, Endeavour, and access to all permanent exhibits at the science center. The tentative plan is to leave Caltech (from the Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics) at around 8:30am sharp and be back at around 1:30pm.
