I am a postdoctoral scholar at the Cahill Center for Astronomy & Astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology. I design and develop novel optical instrumentation for ground-based telescopes.

My science interests lie in magnetic activity of low mass stars, flare stars, brown dwarfs and planets. This research as also led to work in binary star formation.

I am currently the instrument scientist for the CHIMERA photometer (Caltech HIgh-speed Multi-color camERA). The science focus for this instrument is in Kuiper Belt Object research and the search for near Earth asteriods. This work is in collaboration with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
